[Reporter] What is the driving force behind your path to design?
[Ding Mingwei] There is a saying that "interest is the best teacher". I like to draw painting since I was a child. I started to study art after school. The university is in environmental art design, so after graduation, I will naturally enter. The interior design industry.
[Reporter] You have been in the business for ten years. How do you think China's interior design has changed?
[Ding Mingwei] The most obvious change is that with the enrichment of materials and the improvement of living standards, the owners' requirements for designers and the handling of details are gradually improving.
[Reporter] Where did your own changes in the past ten years?
[Ding Mingwei] From the perspective of my own skills, when I was a designer, I was concerned about how the single items of the ceiling, the wall, and the TV background wall were made... It’s not the same now. More to use the overall style to reflect a culture, such as Mediterranean style, European style and so on. It can be said that the design is deepened.
[Reporter] You have designed a lot of model rooms. What do you think is the difference between the design of the model room and the ordinary home decoration design?
[Ding Mingwei] The first feeling between the models is very important. It must have a strong visual impact, be beautiful and beautiful, and be able to attract customers. The model room is actually the developer to show to the potential customer base and then promote sales, so in the design to impress customers.
[Reporter] What should I pay attention to when designing a model?
[Ding Mingwei] First of all, we must clearly understand the location of its community, its geographical location, price, potential customer base, and use. If you are on vacation, you have to feel relaxed. If you live, you will feel warm and comfortable. Then, the designer needs to make up or subtly cover the shortcomings of the apartment.
