Capital of Geneva's main attractions
St. Pierre Cathedral (cathédrale St.Pierre) is located in the middle of the old part of the city, and the top of the spire is very noticeable. The cathedral was originally built in the 12th-13th century. After several renovations, the architectural style gradually blended with the characteristics of each era.
St. Pierre's Cathedral was originally home to the Kelten. This place is one of the largest Celtic cultural relics in Europe. The founder of Protestantism, Jean Calvin (1509-1564), began to publicize his religious ideas in this church. Due to Calvin's activities, Geneva is known as "Protestant Rome." The church has Calvin's used chairs and round sculpted seats for priests. A 157-step walk takes you to the high tower on the north side of the cathedral. From here you can see the panorama of Lake Leman and the city of Geneva.

Calvin Lecture
The lecture hall near Peter's Cathedral was a chapel in the 5th century AD and a parish church in the 13th century.
Here, people have listened to the theologians John Calvin and Théodore de Beze; from 1552 to 1558 John Knox (later together with Thomas Bardley to create the Oxford Library) stayed in Geneva. During this time, the aisle was also spoken in this church. Later, it was here that Miles Coverdale directed the translation of the first English Bible - the Geneva Bible.
Today, the Calvin Lecture Hall is still a holy place to welcome believers from the Scottish Church, the Dutch Church and the Italian New Church.
Le jet d'eau
When it comes to tourist attractions in Geneva, the premier is the Jet d'eau. It is a symbol of the city, located beside the lake in the center of the city, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and parks.
The Geneva Grand Fountain is powered by 130 horsepower and has a jet height of 140 meters. If Geneva Lake is a symbol of Geneva, then this fountain is a summer lyrics in Geneva. The Geneva Grand fountain has a long history. Initially, when electricity was only a product of the laboratory, the fountain was only a safety valve for the hydropower station.
Now, every year from early March to mid-October, an engine-driven water pump pumps out 500 liters of water per second. When visitors approach the fountain, they will feel an indescribable strength and vitality; when they are closer, they will feel the breeze that is moist with moisture. Then you are curious about everything around you: harmony on the shore of the lake, the old town on the hill, St. Peter's Basilica. Afterwards, you will appreciate the soft lines of the Jura Mountains on the horizon. After returning to Japan, you will experience colorful night views of the city, especially the hundreds of small bulbs lined up in two rows along the shore of the lake. The fountain adds a vertical beauty to the tranquil picture.
