The 1942 bombing of Darwin was the first and largest air strike against the Australian continent in the Second World War. As a bomber fired a lightly defending the city, nearly half of the civilians fled the South, and the Japanese invasion was imminent. Among them are Patima, a young girl Torres Strait Islander, only five years old.
By atomic prize winner Douglas Watkin, art by renowned indigenous artist Vernon Ah Kee, and SBS Australia produced by the award-winning VR studio vrtov.
