GE has recently developed a new type of blended resin based on polycarbonate. Its trade name is “Xtreme Cy-colov PC/AB5 resin seriesâ€.
It is said that the polycarbonate blend resin has good impact and low temperature ductility, strong heat aging and hydrolytic stability. According to the experiment, the material with the polycarbonate as the main component has no change in the molar mass in the heat aging test, and the change in the molar mass under the moist heat environment is less than 10%. The product also improves the fluidity of the polycarbonate, making it faster in the process of processing and reducing the injection pressure. Its high flow and impact properties also allow it to process thinner products and is ideal for injection molding dashboards.
