France developed cooling packaging for cooling products in two minutes

This new package will cool the contents within two minutes

Ben Wang compiled reports: A French company is now engaged in self-cooled packaging research, the company's self-cooling packaging for the background, recently launched by a skin care product manufacturer.

Thermagen, based in Paris, France, is developing four new products that can provide potential uses for the cosmetics, ice cream, clothing and beverage industries. The company is working with brand owners to bring their products to market.

Currently, Thermagen is partnering with skincare brand owner Cosnessens to develop Ice-Source, a product that is packaged in a self-cooling rigid container designed for skin care creams. After the device is started, the product can be cooled in two minutes.

Technology used in Ice-Source products can also be applied to other new packaging, but just like the ice-source series, it will be customized for different uses. This technology uses the principle of evaporation and absorption of water. During the water evaporation process, the heat of the product will be absorbed to rapidly cool the product.

Ice source products will be officially launched on the market in November 2004. It will be sold in the French luxury store Colette and selected stores in Europe and Asia. The retail price is 180 euros.

The founder of Thermagen, its chief executive Fadi Khairallah, said that the company originally developed the technology to carry beverages, but found that some brand owners are unwilling to invest in this technology.
