Paper Honeycomb Products and Electronic Product Packaging (I)

Paper honeycomb equipment, technology and products as a new branch of the packaging industry, in recent years set off a domestic "paper honeycomb" fever. In particular, in 1998, the United States, Canada, and the European Union and other countries restricted the export of wooden pallets and wooden crates in China, and raised stringent fumigation quarantine issues, which were both complex and costly. This shocked China’s packaging industry, resulting in “paper honeycombs”. Prominent in the country. Then, what are the current status and market prospects of the cellular equipment, technology and products? The author recently conducted a visit survey. Taking the packaging of electronic products in China as an example, the current use of paper honeycomb products is not optimistic. It can be said that the market is still sluggish.
The author believes that the following problems need to be resolved.
First, paper honeycomb equipment and products need to be further improved, improved, and improved in terms of technology, process, and so on. The author has learned through investigation that at present, many enterprises in China have manufactured and manufactured paper honeycomb production equipment and products. The level of design and technology is still not high, and it is still in the stage of research and development. It still needs further improvement, improvement and improvement.
In addition, the post processing (full bloom) equipment of honeycomb paperboard products is the biggest concern for users. Due to the low degree of automation in production, it is difficult to achieve the standardization and serialization of paper honeycomb products. Such as liner cardboard, trays and other production, there are cartons, how indentation? How to nail the box? How to print? and many more! None of these problems are well resolved. Most paper honeycomb cartons and trays are still hand-operated, and paper honeycomb trays are also cut and pasted by hand, making it difficult to complete the production.
If there is an electronic product manufacturing enterprise, more than 500 disposable trays are needed each day. If the current production and processing equipment is operated, two people can only make 4-6 trays a day, so if you want to meet this electronic product manufacturing company, If you need a tray, you need more than 250 workers to complete the operation for one day. Due to the manual operation, standardization and serialization are even more inconceivable, which directly affects the product packaging line operation of electronic whole product manufacturing enterprises.
Second, the current paper honeycomb products are not only rough surface, but also have poor colors, and are not good enough for grades. In particular, waterproof and moisture-proof problems have not yet been well solved. Some use units reported that due to the poor moisture resistance of the paper honeycomb packaging boxes and trays, the strength of the packaging boxes and trays weakened after being exposed to the tides of the oceans and seas, and they could not withstand impact and sway.
Third, users of paper honeycomb products are difficult to accept at present. It is understood that a standard wooden pallet price is about 40 yuan, and it is said that some places are less than 34 yuan. And a honeycomb cardboard tray price is more than 40 yuan, even more than 50 yuan, so high prices users can not afford.
Fourth, the limitations of funds. China's paper honeycomb industry started relatively late. The research and development of production line equipment, structural design of products, product manufacturing and processing capabilities, and serialization and standardization of products have progressed slowly. Therefore, the paper honeycomb manufacturing enterprises report that due to insufficient funds, there are certain difficulties in the research, development, design, production, promotion, promotion, sales, and so on.
Fifth, the policies, regulations and measures formulated by the competent government departments are insufficient. The author recently accompanied the director of a honeycomb paperboard production plant and replaced the wood pallet business with a honeycomb cardboard pallet. The company has so far used all wooden pallets. One day more than 500 disposable trays are used, equivalent to 25 cubic meters of wood consumed per day (calculated at a rate of 0.05 cubic meters per pallet).
When we proposed to replace the wooden pallets with honeycomb paper trays, one of the company's responsible suppliers pointed to the trucks that delivered the wooden pallets: "How much is it worth to have a wooden pallet for the whole vehicle?" Whenever it is time to send it, the price is not high... We have gone three times in succession, and every time we have a good time, we go to disappoint. This is because the policies, regulations and measures formulated by the government authorities are not enough. Therefore, many users still hold wait-and-see attitudes when using paper honeycomb products instead of EPS plastic (buffer cushion) or wood materials.
Protecting forest resources, safeguarding the ecological environment, and prohibiting forest deforestation, it is a long-term national policy of China. In particular, foreign countries have used various excuses to limit the grim situation in China's exports of wood care and spare wooden boxes. Therefore, the rapid development of new packaging materials to replace wooden packaging, wooden pallets has become an irreplaceable task. Honeycomb paperboard is a better substitute for effectively replacing paper with wood and paper.
Paper honeycomb products save resources and protect the ecological environment in line with the development trend of international packaging industry materials. Although China currently has some problems in the development of this work, we can still see the promising prospects of paper honeycomb products, which will become the mainstream of China's electronic information industry product packaging materials with unique charm.
