Application of Biochip Technology in Packaging (1)

[Abstract] Biochip technology as a new field of biotechnology development has become a hot topic in both domestic and foreign research in the past ten years. It has been applied to different degrees in many industries. This article focuses on the concept, principle, structure and application method of the biochip. According to the characteristics of different biochips, it analyzes the different application methods in the packaging technology. And the application of biochips in packaging is prospected.

[Key words] Biochip packaging and packaging testing

1 Introduction

Packaging technology is a comprehensive technology involving materials, machinery, chemistry, biology and other disciplines. The development of various disciplines will have an important impact on them. The 21st century is an era of rapid development of biotechnology. The development of packaging technology should also follow the development process of biotechnology, absorb the latest research results of biotechnology, form new packaging technologies and research methods, and bring new vigor to packaging technology. .

Biochip technology was a new technology developed in the late 1980s. It transforms the chemical process of life into a controllable static form. The results of this form are detected and analyzed by computer. The earliest commercially available biochips were DNA chips. Biochips have already played an important role not only in high-throughput gene sequencing and gene expression studies, but also in the post-genome era to play an important role in the study of protein function and the interactions between proteins and between proteins and DNA. Biochip technology is another technological breakthrough after the life science research relay cloning technology, gene automatic sequencing technology, and PCR technology. This article makes some analysis and discussion on the possible application scope of this technology in the packaging field.

2 Introduction to Biochip Technology

2.1 Biochip concept

Biochip refers to an addressable recognition molecule arranged in an ordered array on the surface of a small substrate (glass, silicon, etc.) and binds or reacts with the target molecule under specific conditions. The results were displayed using isotope method, chemical fluorescence method, chemiluminescence method or enzyme label method, then recorded with a precise scanner, and finally analyzed by computer software to synthesize readable IC information.

The concept of a biochip comes from a computer chip, but it has been developed for about 20 years, but it has made rapid progress. Since the primary goal of the original biochip was to determine DNA sequences and identify gene expression profiles and detect and analyze gene mutations, it was also called a DNA chip or a gene chip. In addition to the gene chips, there are protein chips, which are mainly used in non-nucleic acid fields such as immune response and receptor binding. Therefore, it is now more suitable for the development of biochips.

2.2 P Biochip Technology Principle

The essence of biochip analysis is to arrange a series of addressable biorecognition molecules that are fixed at a certain position in an ordered array on the surface of a small area of the substrate, and these molecules can selectively react with other exogenous molecules. The results of the reaction can be displayed using isotope method, chemical fluorescence method, chemiluminescence method, or enzyme label method, and then the data can be processed and analyzed by a computer using a precise chip scanner, and then synthesized into interpretable information.

The system is a solid state physics device that contains multiple relatively independent reaction sites on the same biological reaction substrate, and the reaction sites are inert when encountering analytes. As shown in Figure 3, its structure is as follows:

1 Selection of Biochip Reaction Substrates—The surface of the biochip reaction substrate must be stable and suitable for activation.

2 Activation of bio-chip reaction surface - The bio-chip reaction surface is activated by a corresponding supporting program to allow the ligand to attach to the relatively independent detection reaction site. Evaluation of the surface activity of biochip reactions is performed by a series of analysis procedures.

3 Ligands attached to the surface of the biochip reaction; ligands are immobilized on relatively independent detection reaction sites and are determined by optimal antibody orientation.
