Japan's Fuji Industrial Co., Ltd. recently introduced the FUM-1 ultrasonic vibration cutting device, which can improve the surface roughness and improve machining accuracy by applying torsional vibration to the machine tool spindle.
The device uses ultrasound to make the machine tool spindle produce 27000Hz small torsional vibration, in order to increase the number of contact between the tool tip and the workpiece, so as to obtain a high-quality machining surface that can be obtained under the high-speed slow-moving knife. In addition, since the cutting resistance is reduced, the amount of coolant used can be reduced, and it can be used to process difficult-to-cut materials. The device can be used for drilling, milling and turning and can be mounted on existing machines. Due to the good marketability, it is now officially on the market.
