It usually takes months or even longer to store paper from production to use. Paper has a large volume and is afraid of water, fire, and mildew. Therefore, management is very important. In general, paper is stored in warehouses and, in some cases, in open storage. Let's talk about some important aspects of carton storage.
The method of palletizing
If you want to store the web for a long time, it is best to use a vertical palletizing code. The vertical code can prevent the paper roll from being deformed, the palletizing is more stable, the crucible can be higher in code, can increase the storage capacity, and make full use of the storage space. However, when looking at the variety, tube number, and check weight, the vertical code is not as convenient as the horizontal code. In the absence of the corresponding loading and unloading tools, the labor intensity of the code is relatively large, and it is also likely to cause the phenomenon of broken, so the domestic web is still The main code is horizontal. The height of the horizontal code should not be too high, and it must be placed neatly and securely to prevent deformation under pressure or collapse of paper baskets. Flat paper is suitable for flat laying. Each stack of flat paper should be stacked in a line. The sides of the paper basket form a flat surface to avoid staggering and left and right concave and convex. Pieces of paper must be readjusted and repacked. Regardless of the web or flatbed, there must be room between the cymbal and the cymbal for easy viewing and shipping.
Moisture protection and sun protection
Paper generally has strong moisture absorption characteristics, so after the paper is damp, it will be deformed, and it will produce moldy spots. Therefore, the environment in which the paper is placed must be clean and dry, with good ventilation. Paper warehouses should be kept dry and roofs should not leak rain. The windows should be small and high to prevent sun exposure. Otherwise, the warming of the paper and the evaporation of large amounts of water will make the white paper brittle, yellow, and easy to break. The colored paper will fade, and it will deform due to warping. When stacking paper, apply a sleeper up to 25mm from the ground, and do not get too close to the wall. It is not allowed to store other chemical products or commodities containing water and high fat content, such as salt, fertilizer, soap, sugar, cement, etc., in the warehouse where the paper is stored. Paper can not be put together with easily deliquescent items, otherwise it will easily absorb moisture and deteriorate. For papers that are not sized, such as newsprint, slats, and cardboard, they should be protected from moisture during the rainy season. The positions for stacking various types of paper should be basically fixed, reducing the problems and errors caused by the change of position.
Temperature and humidity requirements
When the general paper is above 38°C, its strength will drop significantly. The temperature in the warehouse is preferably 18-25°C. When the temperature in the indoor (paper warehouse) reaches 39°C, ventilation and temperature-reduction measures should be taken to prevent embrittlement and deterioration of the paper. In order to better ensure the quality of the paper, the relative humidity of the paper stored in the environment is preferably controlled at 60 to 70%. Too dry winter and spring, summer too wet, and poor ventilation, light, dust and other harmful substances, will affect the performance and quality of paper in varying degrees. Warehouse management personnel should pay full attention to these factors. In the rainy season in the south, the temperature is high and the humidity is high. If the warehouse is not well ventilated, the deposited paper is prone to mildew and some grayish green or brown moldy spots appear on the edges or corners of the paper. In this case, it is not possible to use a damp cloth to wipe off moldy spots. This will only enlarge and aggravate mildew, and mold will infiltrate into the interior of the paper, resulting in a wider range of mildew. The correct approach is to gently smear with formalin or fumigation with sulphuryl fluoride, after the treatment of the paper library for ventilation, improve the paper storage environment. However, do not open the window for ventilation when the outdoor air is very humid.
Open storage method
Open storage yards should not store paper, but for some reason it needs open storage, the storage work must be strengthened accordingly. To store paper, select a relatively dry and clean environment. The ground of the freight yard should be slightly higher than the surrounding ground. The site should be compacted to prevent sagging. It is better to lay the ground with concrete slabs first, and it must ensure the smooth drainage. There must be a sleeper under the sheet, and felt felt on the top and sides of the sheet. Felt should be covered tightly. The tarpaulin laps more pressure, and the lap must be carried away from the wind to prevent it from being blown away by the wind. Do not pay attention to the slope at the top of the domed blanket. Make use of the raised area as much as possible to prevent the rain from flowing along the felt into the paper or the inside of the bowl. The place where the ridges and corner ribs are easy to wear off the lining cloth is better to be cushioned with other items, so as not to tear the rag. The sides of the basket should be covered tightly, and the relative position of the side felt edge to the stack of paper should be taken into account so that it cannot guide the water onto the basket. The ropes of the tarpaulin should be securely fastened, and no rope can be taken from the sleeper near the paper to prevent the rain from flowing down the rope to the paper. When encountering stormy weather, check the various paper baskets in time to discover and prevent felt cloth from being blown away or other problems.
Flood control, anti-ash, fire prevention
Paper is also susceptible to decay by termites and other insects. Therefore, it should be checked carefully. Paper that has been stored for a long time should be flipped in due course. It should be replaced immediately after the floor is damaged by termites. In the warehouse of a paper processing factory or printing house, some loose paper that has been cut, trimmed, or trimmed is often stored. After the loose paper code is placed on the platform, paper must be put on the surface and then put on a piece of paper. Clip the paperboard to prevent the paper from being contaminated by dust or disturbed by the wind. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the area where paper is stored. Electric appliances with open flame are not allowed. We must have good fire-fighting equipment and fire prevention measures to prevent fires from occurring.
Storage period
Usually, the storage period of the paper should not exceed one year. Even if the conditions for storing the paper are better, the paper will become discolored or deteriorated if stored for too long. If the paper storage time is two years later, the copperplate paper will be yellowed and decolorized: the newsprint will turn yellow and become brittle; the packaging paper will have discoloration and strength; the yellowboard and linerboard will be mildewed and so on. Therefore, all kinds of papers must be kept in the first-in, first-out principle when they are stored, so as to avoid long-term storage and deterioration.
The day-to-day work of paper keepers
In addition to doing a good job of the above-mentioned technical aspects of paper custody, the paper custodial personnel should also pay particular attention to the following points: First, the storage of paper materials and the export of goods must be made on the basis of a warehousing order, paper withdrawal slip, and materials. Official documents such as notices or transfer orders. In case of special circumstances, it may be permitted to use a notice to handle it, but the official formalities must be renewed in due course. Second, paper materials are put into and out of the warehouse. Custodial personnel must inspect the variety, specification, quantity and quality of the materials in detail. If the warehouse paper is broken and does not meet the quality requirements, it should be filled in in detail in the acceptance form. If the situation is more serious, it should notify the relevant departments to check and handle it in time. Third, the warehouse custodian should always pay attention to the flow of paper and constantly check the quality of the report, and actively provide advice. Combining rational allocation of production, preventing backlogs, accelerating capital turnover, and assisting in preventing quality accidents during the printing process. Fourth, warehouse custodians must master the details of all stored papers and store them according to the nature of the paper materials and the objects to be used in order to facilitate the orderliness of the work. Also ensure that the quantity is accurate and free of losses. In the event of a profit or loss, the reasons should be explained and the book can only be adjusted after being reported and approved.
In short, paper storage is a meticulous task. Unsuitable preservation environment, unscientific preservation method, and non-strict preservation system will cause great losses. In the custody of paper, it is necessary to carry out frequent inspections to prevent accidents and to minimize the loss of paper as much as possible.
