Polypropylene modification technology developed in the U.S.

Montell Polyolefins, a Delaware company, is currently the world's largest polypropylene supplier. The company has developed new polymer systems that enhance the performance of these basic resins. The modifier known as Interloy uses a variety of polymerization techniques from Montell, which involve the mechanical properties of polypropylene, the carrier, and post-processing (such as layering, metallization, and printing) properties. The supplier is working with compositing manufacturers to continuously improve the series. The use of polymer additives in low addition amounts, one of which is to make them compatible with polypropylene-based alloys. In addition, the use of a coupling agent also improves the properties of the inorganic and glass fillers in the polypropylene matrix.
