In order to meet the standard requirements, our company's operators have made many adjustments to the printing process, but not only did not completely eliminate the problem, but also seriously affected the production efficiency and delayed the delivery date. In order to completely eradicate this problem, our company set up a technical research team, and finally found out a number of reasons for the excessive color difference of the cigarette package printing.
The operator has little knowledge of the printing process knowledge and equipment structure performance, and the operation is not standardized;
Adjustments to the inspection of printing equipment are not in place;
The inspection of raw and auxiliary materials is not detailed enough;
The quality tool analysis will not be used correctly to solve the problem, and the evaluation method of color is not scientific.

Refine the inspection of raw and auxiliary materials
1. Requirements for base paper
Each batch of base paper is inspected, and the inspection indicators include thickness, stiffness, basis weight, moisture, color, surface tension, transfer film adhesion fastness, laser pattern, etc., which are compared with technical standards one by one, and the standard is not met. No, this avoids the printing chromatic aberration caused by the color difference of the base paper, the inconsistent laser pattern, and the film surface falling off.
2. Requirements for ink
Ink suppliers are required to quantitatively analyze the ink used for standard printing, including ink color intensity, gray scale, hue error, tinting strength, transparency, viscosity, fineness, color stability and other indicators, as the technical standard of ink. . Each batch of ink supplied by the ink supplier needs to provide detailed and true indicator test data, and it can be put into use when compared with the standard ink index and meets the internal control indexes of our company. This can effectively avoid the subjective judgment of ink adaptability. There is no printing chromatic aberration caused by quantitative analysis of the ink, and it also speeds up the ink adjustment speed and improves the production efficiency.
Focus on the inspection and adjustment of printing equipment
In order to ensure good print quality, the operator should make reasonable adjustments to the printing equipment to put it into production in the best condition. It is possible that the data displayed by the desktop control system of the printing device is accurate, but actually The expected results are not achieved, so it is necessary to regularly adjust the printing equipment, as follows.
Thoroughly clean the ink tank regularly to ensure that the key movement is flexible.
Check the water roller, ink roller, and pendulum for wear.
Check the printing pressure with a plug gauge, a printed ink bar, etc., to keep it consistent with the preset value.
Measure the blanket and plate thickness to match the standard data.
Timely replace the UV lamp that has reached the end of its life, avoiding the effect of the UV lamp power attenuation on the ink curing speed, which in turn affects the printing quality.
Replace the plate that meets the specified number of prints in time to avoid affecting the printing color effect due to the slight wear of the pattern.
By taking the above measures and curing the relevant data and procedures, the inspection and adjustment of the printing equipment has achieved good results.
