On the morning of February 22, the China Papermaking Sustainable Development Forum and the White Paper on Sustainable Development of China's Paper Industry, sponsored by China Paper Association and China News Publishing Media Group, were successfully held in Beijing Guo Er Zhao Hotel. Zhang Chonghe, president of China National Light Industry Association and deputy director of the former Central Organizing Office, elaborated the service direction of papermaking from three aspects: service ecological development, service media integration development and service culture life needs. I would like to extend my sincere greetings to the entrepreneurs who have made positive contributions to the development of the paper industry, and to the relevant government departments that have long been concerned about supporting the development of the paper industry. And people from all walks of life expressed their heartfelt thanks.
The paper industry is a basic raw material industry and an integral part of China's light industry, playing an important role in the national economy. In promoting the construction of material civilization and spiritual civilization, it bears important functions. In 2017, China's paper industry's main business income was 1.48 trillion, the profit exceeded 100 billion, and the total paper consumption exceeded 100 million tons. The paper industry has made an irreplaceable contribution to China's economic development. The White Paper on Sustainable Development of China's Paper Industry, compiled by the China Paper Association and the Society, has detailed data and classic cases. It has gathered authoritative information and analyzed hot issues, providing a positive and useful historical reference for the sustainable development of China's paper industry. The contents of the book, such as economy, resources, ecology, environment, social responsibility, product structure, etc., systematically describe the industry's implementation of sustainable development strategies for many years, practice the performance and progress of social responsibility, and scientifically analyze the stage characteristics of the industry development and The market trend, forward-looking put forward the goal of future development and efforts, pointed out the direction for the sustainable development of China's paper industry, and clarified the focus of development.
As the white paper is released, I have three hopes for the paper industry:
First, we need to serve the needs of ecological development.

The paper industry should implement clean production, eliminate backward technologies, implement the main responsibility of pollution control, reduce emissions of waste water and wastewater, strengthen the disposal of solid waste, build a virtuous cycle production system, increase the utilization rate of renewable resources, increase the recycling of farmers' waste, and strengthen The recycling of water resources will contribute to the coordinated development of green recycling and ecological protection.
Second, we need to serve media integration needs.

Third, we must serve cultural life needs
