Die cutting requirements on blade performance (2)

(5) The blade is distorted/offset. The presence of a twisted/eccentric blade will reduce the height of the blade, causing the material to be continuously die cut.
(6) Die-cut kerfs are not perpendicular to the kerf Not causing the blade to be vertical, which reduces the actual height of the blade cut.
(7) The parallelism of the upper and lower plates of the die-cutting machine is not enough. Because the upper and lower plates of the die-cutting mechanism are not parallel, the die-cutting plates at different positions are not evenly pressed, and the die-cut material cannot be evenly cut.
(8) Bottom floor The uneven floor is not flat, and the distance between the offices is low, which also results in that the die-cut material cannot be cut off. This problem can be solved by using a hot plate method. Professional steel companies can provide very precise thickness gaskets.
(9) Loading and Debugging When the knife is installed, the knife edge may be hit from the start due to various reasons. The result can be imagined.
(10) Problems with the feet and joints The joints are handled inaccurately, or the feet/joint blades are deformed, and the parts are cut into continuous die-cut material.
2. Lifetime die-cutting plate and die cutter life is an important part of the customer's concern, and the life span of the two is closely related to die-cutting machine, die-cutting plate, die-cutting knife, die-cutting material, and operation. No one can talk about life!
How do the above factors affect the life expectancy of users?
(1) The accuracy of the die cutting machine itself and its stability have a direct impact on the service life of the blade/die cutting plate.
(2) Die-cut hard, non-deformable die-cut version can naturally use a longer time, the die-cut version of the replacement knife will have a shorter life than the die-cut version of the initial load.
Some technical factors in the production of die-cutting also affect the service life of the blade/die-cut.
(3) The harder the blade hardness of the die cutter is, the longer the wear life is.
(4) The sharpness of the cutting edge The cutting edge should be very sharp from the very beginning and then worn out to achieve an excellent mass cut.
If the blades are damaged during plate making or debugging, their service life will be greatly reduced.
The sharpness of the blade can be measured in different ways. In general, sharp blades do not always have to be sharp, because there may be false sharpness.
(5) The angle of the blade is 42 degrees. The blade is sharper than the 52 degree blade. At the same time, the die cutting pressure is reduced, the wear is reduced, the life is greatly extended, and the generation of paper dust can be greatly reduced.
(6) Processing method of the cutting edge Usually, because the cutting tool follows the direction of die cutting, the grinded cutting tool easily cuts through the material to be die-cut, especially for viscous materials such as plastics, but compared with the broaching cutting edge, The sharpened edge is easier to bend and the straightness of the edge is slightly worse. Broaching blades have a high degree of straightness and are used to cut cardboard with less paper scraps.
The G12 is yet another addition type of blade that Sandvik has recently introduced. Although it is also ground-milled. However, the sharpened blade is sharper and more accurate than the ordinary method, and is particularly suitable for die-cut stickers, films and other materials.
(7) Surface treatment of the blade surface After a special coating process, the edge blade of the blade is attached to the edge of the blade and the auxiliary blade smoothly passes through the running-in period, setting excellent conditions for high-volume die-cutting. Sandvik Super Coated Knife It has shown its extraordinary features, and its life is more than twice the life of its non-coated blades.
(8) Hardness of knife body material The hardness of the knife shot material is suitable, not only can bring good stability, but also its good rigidity, it is easy to transfer the die-cutting pressure from the knife back to the cutting edge momentarily, and complete the die-cutting process.
Although a material that is too soft is good in bending, it affects the effect of transferring die-cutting pressure on the one hand, and on the other hand, when it is subjected to a relatively large die-cutting pressure, it shrinks and bends, which makes it difficult to cut the material to be die-cut.
(9) The proper size and hardness of the sponge used for sponge die cutting will affect the speed and effect of die cutting.
(10) Die-cut material When the same insert is used to die-cut different materials, the opposite results are produced. It is very important to select the proper type of blade according to the characteristics such as thickness/hardness/viscosity.
Usually QC-23.8—0.71, or QC—23.80—0.71—42, and DC—23.80—0.71—42—ULTRA are selected for mass paperboard cutting. If there is a thick material, such as a 400 GSM or more paper jam, the peak is selected at the blade, such as QF-23.8-0.71.
In the automatic die-cutting of large-volume die-cut cardboard or fine corrugated cardboard, the more suitable blade is XC/XF—23.80—0.71. It is characterized by the fact that the die-cut hard material or the mold mushroom in the application is mainly dry. Smooth operation.
VERTEX is very knowledgeable when it comes to small-to-medium quantities of hard-to-cut cards or corrugated cardboard. When the material to be die-cut is hard and requires a pressure greater than that of normal paper jams, a 1.07 mm blade or 1.42 mm blade can easily solve the problem when a 0.71 mm blade does not meet the requirements.
Plastic materials are viscous materials, often causing problems with wire drawing during die cutting, and the use of blades to sharpen the edge products or to make them better.
(11) The commissioning operation is not finely tuned. Injury to the blade or base plate will shorten the service life of the blade/die plate. (Finish)
